Holistic Environmental Protection: Integrating Spiritual Wisdom for Sustainable Solutions – Sikhi Council
Join our workshop at COP28 for an exploration of holistic environmental protection. Delve into the intricate bond between humanity and the Earth, seeking well-being for all living beings, including nature. In a world grappling with multiple crises and conflicts, there is a need for a transformational shift. Hosted by SikhiCouncil, this session offers an artistic journey into Gurbani’s spiritual wisdom on environmental protection. Participants will then be enabled to discover how mental causes contribute to external pollution and find intuitive ways to recognize the interconnectedness of life and our shared role as Earth’s guests. This perspective empowers us to move away from unsustainable growth-centric thinking, fostering a humble approach that considers the well-being of all sentient beings. Once we internalize this, we can transcend materialism and help establishing a Holistic Well-being Index (HWI) that measures development and prosperity by the well-being of all sentient beings. By merging wisdom with technical and political expertise, we can create a culture that prioritizes well-being over shortterm material gains.
